*Report on Japanese cooking class for Foreign Residents

A Japanese cooking class for Foreign Residents was held on 18th Nov. (Tue.).
22 people from fifteen different countries tried to hake hand-roll sushi, clear soup with fish cake and mushroom and persimmon with tofu sauce.

In order to how to cook, how to eat and how to preserve typical Japanese food including mirin, sushi vinegar, dried kelp, pickled radish and fish cake, MIFA and volunteer staff made an arrangement for all the participants to be feel familiar with Japanese cuisine and enjoy it at home.
The class was very practical.

The next Japanese cooking class for Foreign Residents is to be held on 12th March (Thu.) 2009.
