The 5th MIFA International Exchange Festival

Thanks to your cooperation, as many as 3,300 people in total visited the venue during the festival. Our sincere gratitude is extended to sponsors, booth managers, performers, and volunteers who planned and managed the event.

The 1st meeting for the next festival is to be held 10:00-12:00AM on Apr.2 (Sat.), details of which will be announced soon.

Theme: Let's have some fun-talking, eating and playing
Place: Main and Small Hall, Meguro Persimmon Hall and Kumin Campus Park (1-1-1, Yakumo, Meguro-ku)
7 minute walk from Toritsudaigaku station on Tokyu Toyoko line.
* Please use public transportation to come to the venue as parking area is limited.

The MIFA International Exchange Festival has been held since 2006 to encourage friendship among international and Japanese residents. The number of visitors has increased year on year.
Now the festival is a forum for people from more than 30 different countries to establish ties and enjoy activities together.
This festival will provide a great opportunity for international and Japanese residents to meet and create friendships!
If you are interested, please attend the meetings of the Planning/Managing Committee that are held once or twice a month on Sat.10:00-noon, and also join in with activities at the festival as a volunteer (see here for details). See below for more information on how you can get involved.

<Model Volunteers for "Traditional Clothes Fashion Show" Wanted>
Traditional Clothes fans are welcome to this program.
You could show your clothes on the stage, and later take photos of yourself with international presenters.

Fee: Free
Eligibility: Anybody who could attend an orientation to be held at MIFA on Feb.6 (Sat.) 11:00-12:00AM.

<Models for Try-on Kimono Wanted>
Kimono fans are welcome to this program.
You could show yourself in kimono on the stage, and later take photos of yourself with other entrants.

Eligibility: To be a female international residents
Limit: 15 persons for each day
Fee: 500yen (Please prepare 1,000 yen as a deposit for kimono; 500yen will be returned to you after the show)
What to bring: 1. Slippers or sandals, 2. White socks, 3. T shirt or tank top with open neckline,
4. White slip, petticoat, flared panty, and spats
