MIFA Japanese Conversation Salon

MIFA Japanese Conversation Salon is a free conversation session based on a one-on-one (or two learners) style.  You may request a topic on which you would like to discuss about in advance. Practice your Japanese with a native Japanese volunteer and learn daily Japanese speaking!

NOTE:
Basic Japanese understanding would be desirable.
– Zoom application is required if you choose to join online.
– Face to face sessions are only held on Wednesdays limited to 5 participants.

A: Feel free to join us if you are willing to have a daily conversational session in Japanese. (Please note that volunteering supporters may only speak Japanese.)

A: This Japanese Conversation Salon is a free conversational session. You may request a topic on which you would like to discuss in advance. (Request a topic upon signing up for a session.)
Or, tell us what you would like to learn and we will be happy to support you!
Sessions are held on a one-on-one or one-on-two (learners) basis.

We also offer beginners Japanese class every Tuesdays 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Q: How can I make a reservation?

A: Please refer to APPLICATION above. Sign up from the online form.

Q: What will I be asked on the first trial?

A: Japanese volunteers will ask your preferences towards studying / your Japanese level / targets and so on.

Q: When will I pay the fee?

A: The first trial lesson is free of a charge.
If you would like to continue, please register to MIFA membership and make a payment for the annual membership fee (1000 YEN / 500 YEN for students) before the second session.  To become a MIFA member, please click here for details.
